Heather Avis
Heather Avis is a New York Times bestselling author, an award winning podcaster, public speaker, and advocate for Down syndrome. For over a decade, Heather has led this effort, reimagining what it looks like when we embrace our differences.
Heather lives in Southern California with her husband, their three children, Macyn, Truly, and August, and their two Goldendoodles. When she's not writing or speaking, Heather enjoys sharing everyday moments with her family, traveling, karaoke and a hosting a good happy hour with her friends.

Micha Boyett
Micha Boyett is an author, speaker, and an award winning podcaster. Her most recent book is Blessed Are The Rest of Us: How Limits and Longing Make Us Whole, which released in April 2024 and is available now. She is also the author of Found: A Story of Questions, Grace, and Everyday Prayer and a contributor to the New York Times bestseller A Rhythm of Prayer. In addition to cohosting The Lucky Few podcast, she is the creator and host of The Slow Way podcast and newsletter.
Micha lives with her husband and three children in Northern New Jersey, works part-time as a youth pastor at Good Shepherd Church in New York City, and refuses to put anything but M&Ms in her froyo.

Mercedes Lara prides herself on the experiences that we all know we have, and rarely share with honesty. She is known on the show to encourage everyone to “do you” as you need to, and always use your intuition to determine what's best for your person with DS. She formerly worked vocationally in the different abilities industry for 10 years, and has recently launched @humanly.tv - a platform for storytelling, conversation, and connection.
Mercedes lives in Southern California with her husband, Andy Lara and four children, Sunflower, Rhodes, Shepard and Brave and might be the most vividly beautiful person you could ever meet.
